The Mexico mining industry reportedly produced 39,259 kg of gold in 2007 (INEGI).

There are many new gold projects being explored, developed or have recently been put into production in northern Mexico, some of these projects include the Moris Mine Proyecto, the Dolores Proyecto and the El Sauzal Proyecto.
